Rivers Dashboard - Black River
This is the Black River ARMS (Automatic River Monitoring Stations). This station measures important physiochemical variables every two minutes,
including temperature, oxygen, pH, conductivity and turbidity. You can either view current data, or scroll down to view what conditions have been
like over the past 7 days. There is also a water level recorder at this site, measuring water height and temperature.
These data are real time (GMT) and raw - they have not yet been through the full quality checking procedures.
There may be short term data gaps when we are experiencing technical difficulties. The Black River is one of the two main inflows into Lough Feeagh,
and drains the majority of the Burrishoole catchment. It is actually a man made channel, excavated pre 1900’s.
The maintenance of this site by the MI is kindly facilitated by local landowners.
