This is a water level recorder located on the Salmon Leap Bridge, one of two outlets from Lough Feeagh to Lough Furnace. Two fish traps, upstream and downstream, have been in place since 1970. Fish migrating down from Lough Feeagh pass through this channel, depending on whether the flow of water is favourable. These data are real time (GMT) and raw - they have not yet been through the full quality checking procedures. The values on display are referenced to Malin Head.
